Bishop Andrew Cozzins invites Catholics of the Archdiocese to the first day of a 54-day rosary novena.

Saturday, August 15th, at 10 am

A beautiful tradition of the Church, this novena consists of praying the rosary daily from August 15, the Feast of Our Lady’s Assumption, through October 7, the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary.

To mark the beginning of this novena, at 10 a.m. Aug. 15, some local Catholics will gather at Leif Erickson Park, near the State Capitol, to pray the 15 mysteries of the rosary for the healing of our country and our world. This appeal to Our Lady comes at an especially critical time, given the multiple crises we are facing at this moment.

You can join them in person or online at facebook.com/groups/15mysteries. The outdoor event provides an easy way to social distance while praying together.

A local prayer group, including CDL representation, has been meeting every Saturday at noon to say 15 decades of the Rosary in front of the St Paul Cathedral. We are asking our Lady’s intercession for the complete restoration of all public Masses, parish ministries, and for our priests and bishops.

Tomorrow the group will participate instead in the 54-day rosary novena at Leif Erickson park or online. You are invited to pray with us the Saturdays following at noon in front of the St Paul Cathedral.
